We believe that prayer is powerful. We believe that Jesus is the one who heals. Godʼs love is what transforms and gives these young girls hope. Many of you have asked how you can pray for the girls in our home and we are inspired by your compassion. Join us in prayer and in the promise that God has for these little girls. For specific prayer, view our She Dances 12 DAYS OF PRAYER guideline.

You can mix your love for cupcakes, your many friends, and your desire to change the world all into one night by hosting a She Dances “Cupcakes for a Cause” event. It can be as large or small as you would like and you can use the event to present, discuss, and raise funds for She Dances. Eat cupcakes, promote freedom, and have fun. “10k for 10k” is an event in which people run, walk, or bike a 10k in order to raise $10,000 for She Dances. It requires time and dedication to create a successful 10k for 10k event with an exciting atmosphere. A venue, a team of event planners, and marketing are a few of the things that make it work. This one event in the past has played an essential role in the funding of our home in Honduras. To receive more information about how to get started, connect with us via e-mail.

Human trafficking is a global problem that exists in many different forms. Victims experience exploitation and loss of freedom at the hands of their traffickers who buy and sell them for profit. Human trafficking today is commonly referred to as modern-day slavery. Traffickers gain complete control over their victims by forcing them into labor and/or commercial sex. Some of the forms of violence traffickers use to control their victims include brutal beatings, rape, lies and deception, threats of serious harm or familial harm, and psychological abuse. A form of human trafficking that our organization focuses on is sex trafficking. Sex trafficking is a situation in which girls, as early as the age of 11, are manipulated, kidnapped, or sold by family members into a world of sexual servitude. These young girls are put into brothels or homes, abused physically, emotionally, and sexually, and are often undernourished and addicted to drugs.

27 Million: Number of people in modern-day slavery across the world.
800,000: Number of persons trafficked across international borders each year for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
50: Percent of all victims that are children.
